His parents, Glenn and Annie Anderson, wanted to honor his memory by running this event. With the help of a few other volunteers from the SHDGC, they set out recruiting numerous sponsors and donations. As expected the tournament sold out. 40 teams competed in 3 divisions to take home various prizes. It was the largest group of spectators to date at Scarboro. While not watching the action, those new to the sport could experience the fun of disc golf on their own, on a temporary 3 hole course, and get some tips from club members. There was also a bake sale, raffles, and silent auctions going on all day for people to contribute funds to the Humane Society.
Thanks to all the generous donations, sponsorships, players, and volunteers, the SHDGC was able to present the Humane Society of Harford County a check for $10,000!
Congrats to all the winners! Shawn Johnson & Justin Duncan won the Gold division in an exciting playoff with Kurt DeMarra & Jerry Dyson. Andrew Ingrao & Jeff Ulman won Silver, and Father/Son duo Dennis Borries & Chris Borries won Bronze. First place finishers in Gold and Silver each walked away with vouchers for a pair of Keen shoes. Also congrats to Kurt Demarra and Brandon Hauer for their aces on hole 9 and 5, respectively. Brandon's ace also won him the CTP prize.
Big thanks to all our sponsors, including Jarretsville Veterinary Center, Evans Funeral Services, and others, for all their contributions. Scorpio Disc Golf as well for handling the payouts once again. Also to everyone else for their donations. Shout out to one of Tyler's best friends, Nick Carrillo on designing the tournament logo (silhouette of Tyler and his two dogs).

On April 20th, 2013, the Scarboro Hills Disc Golf Club (SHDGC) hosted a charity doubles tournament in memory of Tyler Anderson. Tyler was an avid disc golfer who had a passion for working with and helping animals. After the previous years Tournament Director (TD) had to step down for personal reasons, Tyler volunteered to take the reigns and TD this years Let's Throw Together. Being an animal lover he chose to help the Humane Society of Harford County. Sadly, just weeks after this decision, he was taken from us in a car accident, along with 2 of his friends.
