Discraft Ace Race

August 18, 2019

The 2019 Discraft Ace Race was held at Victory Street Park on August 18, 2019. Thirty six players received their new Eclipses and set out to ring them chains. There were 10+ Aces hit throughout the day. Cory Sokolis was leading towards the end with back-to-back aces on holes 3 & 4, but on the second to last hole of play(2), Dave Dietz scored his second of the day(first being hole 6 early). Tied after regulation, it came down to a CTP. Dave would take the win by mere inches. Brandon Moreland took home third place prize with 1 ace and 3 metal hits.

2nd Cory Sokolis - 2 Aces

3rd Brandon Moreland - 1 Ace + 3 Metals

Player package:
Player Packs for 2019 will feature two special Ace Race Discs, a Discraft Draw backpack, a new 2019 Discraft Sport water bottle, Discraft towel, large mini, and more!

Rules of play:
Players are required to use the player package discs, and only these discs. If a disc is lost, the player has the option of using the second disc from the package. Only one throw per player per hole. All players should have their own scorecards and mark "A" for aces (a hole-in-one) and "M" for holes on which they hit metal.

After all players in the group have thrown, discs are picked up and the group moves directly to the next tee. Players keep their scorecards for round two, using the next line on the card to record the round.

The player with the most aces after 36 holes is declared the winner. In case of ties, the number of metal hits is used as a tie breaker. If a tie persists, a closest to the pin contest is then used to determine the event winner.

Grand prizes will be supplied for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers.

1st place: Discraft Tournament Backpack disc golf bag, a lanyard, towel, and a trophy disc.
